Call for Nominations – Board of Directors

ADMEI's Board of Directors manages the association's affairs and serves as its governing body. The Board's primary focus is to adopt policies and programming that will provide unsurpassed knowledge and information to the Destination Management industry while ensuring the organization's fiscal health.

ADMEI's nomination period is open through September 30.

Board service is a chance to help shape the future of the DMC industry, grow personally and professionally, develop skills, gain unique experience, and make lasting connections with a team of passionate and motivated DMC professionals.

Board service also provides these unique opportunities:

  • Participate in developing advances that impact the DMC industry
  • Expand your network of professional contacts
  • Gain recognition from your peers, community, and employer
  • Develop valuable skills in non-profit governance, program planning, and strategic planning

Who is a Potential ADMEI Board Member?

  • One with leadership experience within the DMC industry
  • One with a commitment to ADMEI and its mission
  • One with knowledge about ADMEI's programs, products, services, and goals
  • One with the capacity to focus that knowledge on decision-making that benefits the organization as a whole
  • One with the ability and eagerness to deal with values, vision, and the long-term future of ADMEI
  • One with the ability to participate actively in Board deliberations and support Board decisions/consensus
  • One with excellent communication skills with an appreciation for diversity
  • One with the DMCP certification or commitment to earn in the next 24 months
  • One who is an owner or employee of an ADMEI member

Interested in Serving?

The ADMEI Board of Directors meets 6-8 times throughout the year.  Typically, there are three in-person meetings (travel expenses to board meetings are the responsibility of the board member):

  • At the Annual Conference (Wednesday afternoon)
  • At IMEX Frankfurt (This meeting has been held virtually the last three years)
  • At IMEX America - Las Vegas
  • The remaining meetings are typically 2-hour video calls.
