DMCP Candidate Application
Minimum Qualifications
- Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years’ direct experience in Destination Management OR 2 years of direct experience in Destination Management + any college degree
- Applicant must have current employment in the hospitality industry
- Applicant must have responsibility and accountability for the successful completion of Destination Management programs
Completed applications are due no later than 6 weeks prior to the exam. Visit the Exam Schedule for upcoming exam deadlines.
DMCP Candidate Application Steps
Step 1 - Login
Login to the ADMEI Member Compass. If you do not have a record in the ADMEI database, create a Username and Password.
Step 2 - Purchase
Purchase a DMCP Candidate Application in the ADMEI Store. This will give you access to the DMCP Candidate Application form.

A completed application includes the 1) the payment, 2) the completed candidate application and 3) the required documents. ADMEI will review completed applications and determine if the applicant has been approved to be a candidate.
Two Year Exam Window
Approved candidates have up to two years to take the exam. Registration invitations will be sent regularly over the two-year period. Please visit the DMCP Exam Schedule to review exam dates and deadlines associated with the process.
