ADMEI’s Emergency Preparedness Certificate Program (EPCP) is an interactive, eight-hour virtual program designed to build confidence and capability in emergency preparedness, risk mitigation, and duty of care for destination and event professionals.

Developed in collaboration with global leaders in security, intelligence, training, medicine, and investigative services, the EPCP combines practical tools, real-world scenarios, and collaborative group exercises. Participants work through situations from multiple industry perspectives while learning how to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies that may affect meetings and events.

Throughout the program, participants explore emergency planning, risk assessment and mitigation, medical readiness, duty of care, liability considerations, and emerging risks. Attendees also receive practical tools, checklists, and planning resources that can be customized for their own organizations and events.

This virtual course is eight hours presented over two days. Full attendance and active participation in discussions and group exercises are required to earn the Emergency Preparedness Certificate.

Who Should Attend?

The EPCP is designed for anyone involved in planning, managing, or executing meetings and events, including DMC professionals, meeting and event planners, CVB and DMO professionals, hospitality professionals, suppliers, and other industry partners.
