WOW! What a Conference!

Everyone was R-E-A-D-Y!

DMCs from the United States, Carribean, Latin America, and Europe gathered in Boston for the 2022 ADMEI Annual Conference and experienced a fantastic three days of education, team building, networking, food, exploration, and fun!  The event certainly matched the pre-conference hype!   With 17 sponsors, more than 20 speakers, and two team building partners, ADMEI's conference was over the top!

The Boston Park Plaza -- one of ADMEI's best-ever hotel partners – was the epicenter of the event which took place 24 - 26 February 2022!   Their outstanding team, cuisine, and commitment to ADMEI and its conference’s success was felt by all.

Daily Highlights

Day 1

A high-energy, customized team building exercise led by Best Corporate Events, one of ADMEI's Corporate Sponsors, kicked off the conference.

Attendees then rolled right into the ADMEI Winter Festival-themed welcome reception!   Sponsored by the Boston Park Plaza, this event embraced the winter season with a ski lift photo booth, a ski ball game, and live entertainment.

The reception also featured some of the hotel's best cuisine including lobster rolls, short ribs, clam "chowdah," and airline chicken (to name a few), with a hosted bar featuring its READY OR NOT custom drink.

Day 2

The opening keynote was none other than Dave McGillivray, the notable Director of the Boston Marathon.  Dave's moving presentation warrants ADMEI's need to acquire a tissue sponsor in the future.  Dave is available to speak for events, and if interested, he can be reached at dmse@dmsesports.com.  Dave was followed by an esteemed panel of corporate meeting planners and a diversity and inclusion panel.

ADMEI was honored to host a panel of industry thought-leaders from SITE, PCMA, and FICP moderated by ADMEI's outgoing president, Lorenzo Pignatti.  ADMEI's relationship with these important organizations is a high priority, and all are committed to working together to move the industry forward.   Attendees later broke into separate Solution Rooms designed just for Sales, Operations, and Owners.  The day concluded with a Boston Dine Around and Networking Nightcap back at the hotel bar with dessert and drinks sponsored by Agenda: USA.

Day 3

The final day was kicked off with ADMEI’s annual business meeting where the new ADMEI Board and President are introduced and a custom handover song written and performed by SongDivision’s Benji Harris is a favorite tradition.

A thought-provoking session followed featuring hotel panelists led by ALHI's Michael Dominguez that included tips for DMCs on how to best work with their hotel partners.

ADMEI’s second team building exercise was an Ice Sculpting Challenge lead by another ADMEI Corporate Sponsor - TeamBonding.  Attendees were trained on the tools and the basics of ice sculpting, were then divided into teams with their own blocks of ice, and a competition ensued.  The winning ice sculpture was featured at the Awards Reception that evening.

Johnny "Cupcakes" Earle delivered the closing keynote which was an inspiring message about unique branding techniques and the draw of being different.  Johnny certainly delivered and was well loved by attendees.   Everyone present at his session is receiving one of his unique t-shirts post conference in the mail!

Food, Snow, Awards - Oh My!

Throughout the conference, ADMEI attendees enjoyed full hot buffet breakfasts and lunches ... and 12 inches of snow!  Neither snow nor sleet would stop the momentum.

As tradition has it, the conference closed on a high with the very well-produced ADMEI Awards Gala complete with fantastic food, high-level entertainment, award winners, and a dance party!
